Triphala - Amla, Haritaki and Bibhitaki Capsules

I was unable to use these as I had an anaphylactic reaction to an unknown source and was instructed to remove any substances I had used over the last 72 hours prior to my reaction. I had not taken these but had opened one to examine the content. I do this with ALL supplements that I purchase. These contained the formula stated without fillers. I gave these to my daughter who said that she has taken only four now and outside of falling asleep sooner, she's had no other effects. She said she usually lies awake for an hour or more and runs that days events through her head and what she has to complete the next day,etc...and generally has trouble sleeping at night. This has not been the case the last 3 nights, as she has fallen asleep within a few minutes and has awoken before her alarm goes off as well. She has zero complaints of nausea,headaches or any other side effects.As I am not writing this by my own experience,I have asked my daughter for information and updates on ANY side effects she may have good or bad. I also asked her to inform me on a daily basis if she skips doses or has any information she feels is attributed to this supplement. I will post any and every update I am given ASAP, so that you too may be informed. My daughter is college age and lives at home,so there should be no delay in information. Before purchasing this or any supplement product, I researched the ingredients and their benefits to see if this is something I want. In addition to my personal experience with the product, I report any “significant” understandings revealed by my investigations, in my review.I’ve been taking this product for about a 5 weeks for detox. I recently had an "environmental toxins" lab test ordered by my doctor, and I have some toxins in my system, thus my interest. So far, so good.It has 3 "herbal" ingredients ingredients listed in the “Supplement Facts”. They are all uncommon/"exotic", but they purport to help clear toxins.I’m concerned about these “Other” ingredients, as I consider them to be controversial. This means the FDA considers them GRAS (generally regarded as safe) but some doctors and researchers disagree: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.I am happy to be taking these, as part of my regiment of supplements.

I have heard Triphala is a good ayurvedic medicine with 3 main components including amla (which is like a gooseberry). These capsules are a regular size that is easy for an adult to swallow. I was able to digest them with no side effects or issues, and everything came sealed and looked to be of good quality. I also really like that they were vegan so I didn't need to worry about fish flavors or allergies. I'm not sure I've noticed much change in my mood or energy level, that may be more of a long term effect or need a more detailed ayurveda plan from an expert with which these capsules can be used. My digestion was already pretty good, so I can't evaluate that department.

Very gentle cleanse but it made me sweat more than I expected while I released toxins. It definitely helped with my joint inflammation issues and had no aftertaste.

That said, I wish they clarified what that 20% extract was standardized for. It's a great option if you’re looking for a simple, reliable digestive support supplement.
